Lenora Jane Almand Burgess, 82, of Ty Ty passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A private funeral service and burial will be held for Ms. Burgess at a later date.
Born December 27, 1942, in Colquitt County, Ms. Burgess was the daughter of the late Lenzy Owen Almand and Leila Jane Parker Almand. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Helen Gorelli. Before retiring, she worked at Roses for over 20 years and had also worked in the Packing Department at Fitzgerald Underwear. She was of the Baptist faith.
Ms. Burgess is survived by one son, Lonnie Burgess of Ty Ty; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Jim Gillespie of Summerville, South Carolina; one brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Jayn Almand of Cordele; and one grandson and his wife, Justin and Liz Walker of Goose Creek, South Carolina.
