Obituary

PORTLAND- Bradford Lee Bruce, 76, of Portland, Maine, passed away on March 4, 2025. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts, he was the son of Edith Alice (Shuttleworth) Bruce and Allen Edmund Bruce.
Brad graduated from Attleboro High School and spent his career as a parts manager for Anderson/Tarbox Chrysler dealerships in North Attleboro. He shared 52 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Dawn Patricia (Thomas) Bruce.

He is survived by his wife Dawn; his brother Franklin formerly of Attleboro, Massachusetts, his son Allen Bruce and his wife Whitney of Portland, Maine; his son Jeffrey Bruce and his wife Michaela of Holden, Massachusetts; and five cherished grandchildren.

Brad was an enthusiastic sports fan, coaching his sons' little league games and watching his beloved Boston sports teams. He faithfully attended the annual North Attleboro/Attleboro Thanksgiving Day football game even after his children stopped playing. Brad enjoyed Boy Scouts, achieving Eagle Scout rank and later serving as scoutmaster for Cub Scout Pack 66. His passion for automobiles and racing was evident in the countless hours he spent in his garage, particularly while building his prized 1932 Ford. As an avid golfer, he enjoyed many rounds with friends and participated in several leagues throughout southern Massachusetts. He and Dawn moved to Portland, Maine in 2022 to be closer to family.

He will be remembered for his big heart, love for his family, easygoing nature, independent spirit, and his appreciation for a good ice cream cone.

Brad's family invites all who knew Brad to share stories and celebrate his life from 12pm to 3pm on Sunday, March 30th at the Attleboro Elks O’Hare Wellman Suite, (side door) 887 South Main St in Attleboro, MA. Please dress informally.
