James H. Green, 81, of Londonderry, NH, passed away peacefully Friday March 7, 2025, in Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH. He was born on December 3, 1943, in Providence, RI, a son of Henry and Margaret (Ramsay) Green. James proudly served his country in the US Army during Vietnam, then continued his service for 18 years with the Army Reserves. He was employed by the Coast Guard at the Research and Development Center as their Resource Director for many years. James loved his community immensely and enjoyed actively serving in many roles around his town. He was the Past President of the Democratic Party in Londonderry, President of the Senior Resource Committee, Trustee of the Trust Fund and Past President and Secretary of the Sugarplum Community, just to name a few. He will be remembered as kind, generous, considerate and a gentle soul. He will truly be missed by all those he has encountered while serving his community.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Linda (Stafiej) Green, his son, Edward Green; his daughter, Loren Motew, four grandchildren, Maeve, Molly, Jackson and Easton, one brother, Edward Green and one sister, Margaret Green.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Funeral services will begin at 10:30am in the funeral home. The burial will be in the spring in Pillsbury Cemetery, Hovey Rd., Londonderry.
