Obituary

HOLLIS- Walter “Tiny” Frost, Age 91, passed away quietly and peacefully on March 4th, 2025. He was born in York Maine on July 16th,1933, a son of the late Roderick Ulysses and Florence Ridout Frost. Walter was drafted and served proudly in the US Army Corp during the Korean War. Shortly after his discharge, he met and married Maxine Perkins, the love of his life for 66years. He was active in his community and was a volunteer firefighter for the town of Ogunquit where he raised his family for many years before moving to Cape Neddick. Together, they owned and operated Freeman Oil Company (his other great love) located in York Beach for over 40 years. In the golden years of his life, he and Maxine enjoyed spending the cold winter months in sunny Fort Myers, Florida, where he could catch up with his best and lifelong friend John Reilly. Walter enjoyed fishing, hunting, repairing small machines, flying model helicopters, traveling and was a New England sports fan. Walter is survived by his two children; Steven Frost of Hollis (along with his wife Wendy), Jill Garr of Kennebunk; his three grandchildren-Mathew, Daniel, and Kevin; five great grandchildren, and countless people who knew and loved him. He will be missed by many.
