Evelyn M. (Miele) Soderholm, 88, a longtime Tewksbury resident, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was the wife of George Peter Soderholm, with whom she shared the past 63 years of marriage.
Evelyn was born on March 7, 1936 in Medford, she was a daughter of the late Sam Miele and the late Emma (Zirpolo) Miele. She was raised and educated in the Medford/Somerville area and was a graduate of Somerville High School with the Class of 1954.
Following her education, she worked as an administrative assistant with Digital for many years. She also worked in a similar role with the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce for over 10 years.
Traveling the world was Evelyn’s true passion, having visited Aruba over 40 times and sailing on countless cruises along with her husband, George. She had a natural gift for forming friendships effortlessly in any social setting, especially while traveling the world. She had a warm and welcoming spirit, known for her easy going nature, wonderful sense of humor, and genuine care for others. She touched the hearts of all who crossed her path and she will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
Besides her beloved husband, George, she is survived by their sons, Kevin and Peter Soderholm both of Tewksbury, MA, her sister Virginia Browder of Florida and her sister in law Joanne Woodland of Lynn. Last but not least, her beloved pets, Oliver and Silly, both of which she deeply loved and cherished.
She was also the sister in law of the late Robert Soderholm
All are welcome to attend her Funeral Mass which will be offered at Saturday, April 12, 2025 at St. William of York Church in Tewksbury at 11:30 a.m..
