Obituary

Diane M. Racicot. of 5 Willie Street, Lowell, following a long, valiant battle with illness.

Diane was the daughter of the late Leo-Joseph and Edna Nemer Racicot. She lived her whole life in the house she was born in. Diane attended Saint Patrick's School, Bartlett School and Northern Essex Community College. For twenty-six years, she was employed by Showcase Cinemas, Lowell.

For over forty years, Diane made a loving home for her beloved Pekingese dogs. She loved that breed and had a great and abiding love and concern for all animals, especially rescue animals. Diane also loved fashion and jewelry and her brother adds, "Diane always looked like a million bucks."

Diane is survived by her brother, Leo-Joseph Racicot Jr., her longtime friends: Deborah Cheney, Edwin Vazquez, and their children, her beloved Cassandra Vazquez and Edwin Vazquez Jr. as well as Cassandra's husband, Brian Landry. Cassandra and Brian have been of so much help and comfort throughout Diane's long years of illness. Also, several cousins: Susan & Andrew De Fiore, of North Providence, Rhode Island, Gloria Morrone, of Centennial, Colorado, Edmond & Pamela Racicot, of Cape Coral, Florida, Marguerite Sullivan, of Hingham, Mass. and dear and longtime friend, Priscilla Beck, of Arlington, Mass.

Family and friends would like to express their thanks to the staff of High Pointe House Hospice, Haverhill, for their lovingkindness to Diane during her last days.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to The American Cancer Society.
