It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lino Goncalves. Adelino "Lino" Goncalves was born on May 7, 1961 in Espinho, Portugal. A beloved son, husband and uncle who touched the lives of all who knew him. Lino passed away after his battle with cancer on March 2, 2025 at the age of 63 surrounded by his family. Lino was kind, caring and generous. He was loved by many and words can’t describe how much we will miss him. He will be remembered for his beautiful smile and he always knew how to make people laugh. He worked at PTI in Connecticut as a shipper for 20 years. Lino loved nature and was a passionate outdoorsman and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time at Quabbin reservoir on his boat, hunting and fishing with his friends and great nephews. Lino also had a passion for hunting collectibles at the flea markets. Lino leaves behind the love of his life, Robin “Sprout” Goncalves, who he spent 35 years with. Lino will be deeply missed by his mother, Maria Lucinda Goncalves. He also leaves behind his sister Rosa Czerwiecki and niece and goddaughter, Crystal Harvey Williams & husband, Jason and their children Kingston and Maddox; brother, Antonio Goncalves, sisters Maria Celeste Goncalves and Ceu Sutter, nieces, Jessica Gadbois, Jennifer Edwards and Alison Durazo, nephews, Cody and Devon Goncalves and great nephews Arthur and Robin Edwards. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. There will be an in house Prayer Service at 11:00 AM followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery.
