Lowell - Robert M. Nealon Sr., 82, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Weems) Nealon, with whom he would have celebrated 55 years of marriage later this year.
Born on December 28, 1942, Robert was the son of the late M. Lillian (O'Brien) Nealon. A lifelong resident of Lowell, he was educated in the Lowell school system and dedicated much of his life to serving his community.
Robert worked for the Lowell School Department for 20 years, where he was a valued member of the educational community. Prior to that, he was employed at Wang Laboratories for a decade. His career reflected his strong work ethic and commitment to supporting others.
A devoted sports fan, Robert had an unwavering love for the Buffalo Bills and the Boston Red Sox. One of his fondest memories was meeting legendary Bills quarterback Jim Kelly, with whom he corresponded several times over the years.
Faith was a cornerstone of Robert’s life. He was an active member of Saint Joseph the Worker Shrine and a communicant of Saint Margaret’s Church, where he found strength, purpose, and a deep sense of community.
