Steven Francis Buinicki, 70, of Thornton, NH (formally of Franklin, MA), passed away on February 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a short battle with cancer. Steve was positive and jovial during his whole ordeal, never giving up hope.
Steve was born on February 27, 1955, in Framingham, MA, the loving son of Stanley I. Buinicki and Jeannette O. (Raney) Buinicki.
Steve graduated from Franklin High School in 1974 and attended East Coast Aero Technical School.
Steve had a successful trucking business for many years before retiring.
Steve married Jessica M. (Barry) Buinicki, the love of his life, on July 26, 1975, at Grace Episcopal Church in North Attleboro, MA. Steve and Jessey were happily married for 49 years. They had a wonderful adventure together; raising four amazing daughters, always packing up the station wagon to head out with the girls on many trips to up-state New York, the Cape, Maine, and New Hampshire. The family home in Franklin was the site of many memorable poolside gatherings and holidays. For more than a decade they owned a house on Sebago Lake, in Maine which was a place where family and friends spent entertaining trips, whether boating, snowmobiling, or playing games on the porch.
They traveled often around the US, Canada, the Caribbean, and Europe, including multiple trips to Bermuda and Ireland with lifelong friends. They realized their dream of retiring to New Hampshire, where they built their mountain chalet. This past year Steve and Jessey started travelling with their RV, up and down the eastern seaboard visiting with family and friends.
Steve was a hunting and fishing enthusiast, spending many recent hunting seasons with his sister Teresa. Steve loved and adored all nine of his grandchildren. Some of his most cherished memories were with his grandchildren showing them the treasures of New Hampshire and the White Mountains.
It was a wonderful life.
