Obituary

February 5, 1958 – March 1, 2025

Brian Paul Reynolds, a lifelong resident of Medford, passed away on March 1, 2025 after a long struggle with an anoxic brain injury.

Brian is the son of the late Joseph and Regina Reynolds of Medford and the brother of the late Stephen Reynolds of Sudbury.

He is survived by his sister Jean Reynolds and her partner Laurie Guiney; his sister Nancy Reynolds and her daughters Kylie and Nieve; his brother Michael Reynolds, his wife Breda, and their children Julie and Keith; his sister-in-law Laurie Reynolds; his godson Brett Campbell and godmother Nancy Shields.

Prior to his injury, Brian was the loading dock supervisor at the John Hancock Tower. As a young man, the Boston Globe carried a feature story about Brian for his daily ascent of the building’s stairs as part of his exercise routine.

Brian was best known for his dry Irish wit and big heart. He lived his life with great love and laughter, surrounded by his family and wonderful friends. His friends were his second family and loved him as deeply as their own brother, extending many kindnesses during his time in long-term care.

The family would like to express its gratitude to the carers at Willow Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Wilmington and to the late Jack Connors Jr. of Boston for his many years as Brian’s friend and mentor.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Brian's Funeral Mass on SATURDAY, MARCH 29, 2025 at 10 A.M. in St Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford. His burial will be private. There will be no funeral home visiting hours.

THE CHURCH WILL NOT ACCEPT FLOWERS.
