With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished husband, father, and grandfather, Daniel S. Green, 73, of Londonderry, NH. Danny passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 1, 1951 in Boston, MA, the son of the late Daniel and Martha (Bruce) Green. He had been a resident of Londonderry for the past 47 years.
Deeply mourned by his wife, Yvonne (Gallinelli) Green of Londonderry, NH; two daughters, Janelle Jones and her husband Christopher and their son, Adrian Jones all of Litchfield, NH, and Vanessa LaMalfa and her sons, Paul and James LaMalfa, and her partner John Hamilton all of Londonderry. As well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
Danny was known for giving great effort in every area of his life. He valued being a tradesman for 40 years at several heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) companies. His career concluded managing the facilities at Abbott Laboratories.
Danny’s hobbies and interests helped define and balance who he was in all other areas of life. He enjoyed being a Knights of Columbus member for more than three decades, a part of Londonderry’s Softball League for twenty-plus years, and Vice President and Treasurer of the North Shore Corvette Club. However, nothing brought Danny more joy than joining his wife to watch his daughters and grandsons excel in their sports and extracurricular activities.
Danny’s love for cars (especially his 1967 Corvette Stingray, which he enjoyed racing) was something he shared with all who knew him. He loved a good “American” NASCAR race and traveled the country following the races.
One of the most unique elements of Danny’s journey was his remarkable ability to overcome many health issues. He kept smiling, living, and working with HVAC till his final days. He was not defined by his disability, he was shaped by his family that he loved dearly.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 4-5:30pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A memorial service will follow at 5:30pm in the funeral home. Our family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the Visiting Nurses Association for the care they provided.
