Stuart M. Davidson, 71, of Westport, peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, Rhode Island. He was the husband of Susan M. Davidson, they shared 34 years of marriage.
Stuart was born in Newburgh, New York, son of the late Francis and Annette (Oram) Davidson and had resided in Westport for the majority of his life. Prior to retirement, he worked as the head of production and innovation at Parks Corporation. He raised Highland Cattle and was fiercely proud of his Scottish and Irish heritage. Known to be very mechanically inclined, he loved to invent, create, and make improvements to any and all machinery. He was an antique car enthusiast with his 1929 Ford Model A pickup truck being his favorite. Stuart was very proud of his town, Westport, with its history, culture, and acceptance of community. He always had a story to tell.
Survivors along with his wife include his two daughters: Patricia Frances Davidson of Denver, Colorado, and Paige Fraser Davidson of Brooklyn, New York; his two brothers: Bruce O. Davidson of Pennsylvania and Lee Davidson of Rhode Island; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Carole Davidson.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
