Marilyn J. Wheeler, 88

Marilyn J. (Wagner) Wheeler, age 88 of Attleboro, formerly of Albemarle, NC and Mansfield, passed away peacefully and comfortably at home, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 3, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert F. Wheeler, to whom she was wed for nearly sixty-three years at the time of his death on July 2, 2018.
Born in Boston, MA on February 6, 1937, she was a loving daughter of the late Theodore J. and Dorothy P. (Graves) Wagner.
Marilyn grew up in Boston and was a 1954 graduate of Roslindale High School She attended the New England Deaconess Hospital School for Nursing in Boston and from 1972-1991 worked as an LPN at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
A resident of Attleboro for the past twelve years, Marilyn was a former twenty-two-year resident of Albemarle, NC, where she was employed for five years at the Stanly County Health Department.
A former longtime resident of Mansfield, Marilyn’s happiest times where those surrounded by her loving family and in the company of family pets. She was a longtime member and Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and her other interests included crocheting and reading.
She was the devoted mother of Kenneth E. Wheeler of Attleboro, Janice M. Eisenhaure and her husband Gerald of Mason, NH, Kim E. Rose and her late husband Wayne of Attleboro and the late Stephen A. Wheeler of Attleboro. She was the dear sister of the late Barbara L. Rose and her late husband James of East Falmouth and is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend an Order of the Eastern Star service on Saturday March 8th at 11:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield. Burial will follow at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield.
Visitation will be held prior to the services on Saturday morning beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
