It is with profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Robert G.
Wellman, 73, of Wareham, MA. His devoted partner of forty years, Cindy
Landreville, was by his side.
Robert (Bob) was predeceased by his son, Michael R. Wellman; his parents,
Walter K. & Gloria Wellman; and his brother, Brian Wellman.
Robert is survived by his son, William K. Wellman, 47, of Worcester, MA; Robert is
also survived by his brother, Walter D. Wellman, of Auburn, MA , along with nieces
Dawn Wellman, Staci Johnson, Heidi Wellman, and Rebecca Chesbrough. He
also leaves behind many great nieces and nephews.
Robert was born and brought up in Waltham, MA. While attending Waltham
Vocational High School, he studied cabinet making, carpentry, and welding.
Besides growing up in Waltham, Robert also resided in West Concord, MA,
Whitman, MA, and Halifax, MA before settling in Wareham, MA.
Robert was employed as a welder for Fruehauf Trailer Corporation, and worked
as a mechanic at H.C. Stark Inc. In recent years, however, he enjoyed the
flexibility of working as an Uber Driver.
Robert’s favorite pastimes were fishing out on his boat in nearby lakes with
friends, especially Jane Fuller. When he lived in West Concord, he also loved to
fish in the Concord River and on Walden Pond. He also enjoyed creating and
selling handmade cribbage boards in his spare time.
