Elizabeth Reardon Good
Betsy Good, a longtime resident of Cohasset and Scituate, died peacefully at home on February 28, 2025 at the age of 75.
Betsy was the daughter of Norbert V. Reardon and Mary Groden Reardon of Cohasset. She was the youngest of six siblings. She graduated from Cohasset High School, Class of 1967 and Garland Junior College in Boston, Class of 1969, where she received her degree in Early Childhood Education.
Betsy leaves her husband of 52 years, Bill Good Sr., of Cohasset and her three children: Julie Guerra and her husband Joe Guerra and their daughters Paige and Katherine of Cohasset, Liz Reynolds and her husband Patrick Reynolds and their daughters Haley, Olivia and Nola of Scituate, and Bill Good Jr. and his sons Will and Charlie of Scituate.
She leaves her brother Norbert Reardon and she was the sister of the late Susan Chisholm, the late Jane Russell, the late Mark Reardon and the late Dennis Reardon, USMC, of whom Betsy was especially proud being a member of a Gold Star Family. She also leaves a number of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and godchildren in the extended Groden, Reardon, and Good families.
After college, Betsy lived in Boston where she worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Athletic Department at Harvard. She loved her chapter in Boston and Harvard Square.
Having met during their college years, Betsy and Bill were married at St. Anthony of Padua Church on August 26, 1972. They lived in Scituate and then Cohasset, where they raised their family. Betsy pursued her teaching career at the South Shore Community Center Nursery School, where she was a dedicated and caring teacher for twenty-five years.
Betsy was a member of the Cohasset Yacht Club for forty years and the Knit Pickers and the Gormands for thirty years and a past member of the Cohasset Community Garden Club and the Junior League of Boston. She enjoyed tennis throughout her life and played in the Annual Children’s Hospital Tennis Tournament. She enjoyed sailing, skiing, water skiing and their memorable annual family vacations.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 7th at 10:00am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 10 Summer St., Cohasset. All are welcome to join the family immediately following the Mass at the St. Anthony Parish Center for a celebration of Betsy’s life. Directions to Service
