Elizabeth “Betty” Teresa Reardon, 85, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in East Boston on April 24, 1939, she was raised in a close-knit Italian-American family, where she learned the values of love, resilience, and tradition.
Betty graduated from Holbrook High School in 1956 and spent much of her life in Marion, Massachusetts, with her devoted husband, Robert S. Reardon. She had a long career at Baystate Gas Company until her retirement.
Family was the heart of Betty’s world. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who made every holiday and gathering special with her warmth, humor, and exceptional Italian cooking. Her ability to make friends wherever she went was a testament to her kind and welcoming spirit.
Betty is predeceased by her parents, Donato and Netta DiPierro, her brother, Al DiPierro, her beloved son, Daniel DiPierro, and stepdaughter Debbie Reardon. She is survived by her husband, Robert, and her children: Lisa and Myles Cambridge, Clifford and Christina Parrott, Antonette and Peter O’Rourke, and daughter-in-law Carolyn DiPierro. She was a cherished grandmother to Lauren and Christopher Sullivan, Connor and Ethan O’Rourke, Finn Parrott, and Stella DiPierro. Betty also leaves behind a loving extended family, including stepchildren Dan Reardon, Amy Doherty, and Jimmy Reardon, as well as their spouses and children.
Betty’s laughter, generosity, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the traditions she passed down, the love she shared, and the countless lives she touched.
A celebration of Betty’s life will be held on March 14th at 10 am at Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury, MA.
