Sherrie Lee McNellis 60, of Ventura California, Took her final breath, February 26, 2025 in her home as she was held by her love ones. Sherrie was born in Oxnard California to Jon Mcnellis And Shirley (Hodges) Blackburn On December 2, 1964. She went to Rio Mesa high school And went on to pursue a Lifelong career in nursing, her true passion. She was an extremely active person both in her church and in her daily life. You could find her riding her bike with her puppy dog in her basket up and down Ventura bike path, Or boogie boarding on a warm Summer’s day. Everywhere she went she Brought light to people’s lives. Sherrie Is survived by her daughter, Taylor Gruen and Son-in-law Cole, Her sister Stacie and brother in law Rodney Helland, her amazing nieces, Lindsey, Dani, and Sammie, And their wonderful children as well. Her daughter wishes to extend Their gratitude to Mission Church in Ventura and the wonderful friends of hers that have helped along this tough journey, the family feels forever grateful for their love and helpfulness when they needed it most. Eight years with terminal cancer, and she fought every single moment with grace and laughter, a true angel. Her heart was made of gold.
