Obituary

Robert P. Conlon, 94, of Port Orange, FL, formerly of Worcester, died on February, 15th at home. He leaves his stepchildren, Michael Morrison and his wife, Dawn of Petersham, Patrick Morrison of Spencer, Paul Morrison and his wife, Michelle of Worcester, and Ann Wheeler and her husband, Randall of Leicester; many grandchildren; and four nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen (Brennan) Morrison Colon; stepson James Morrison; stepdaughter, Catherine Anish, son in law, Ronald Anish; a brother John Conlon; and a sister, Phyllis Gobielle.

He was born in Worcester, the son of John and Lea (Boudreau) Conlon. Robert dedicated 30 years of his life to serving the Worcester Department of Public Works as a mechanic. His commitment to his work and his community was steadfast, and he will be remembered for his strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of his career, Robert had a passion for woodworking and found joy in crafting beautiful pieces with his hands. He was also a loving family man, always cherishing the time spent with his loved ones. A proud member of the Knights of Columbus Leicester Council 4528, Robert's faith was an important part of his life. He was also a dedicated parishioner at Our Lady of the Angels Church, where he contributed his time and energy to his faith community. Robert proudly served his country as a veteran in the Navy, further demonstrating his commitment to service and honor. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

His funeral will be on Monday, March 3rd with a Mass beginning at 12 Noon in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be on Monday, March 3rd from 10:30am until 11:30am in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the OLA Maintenance Fund, 1222 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603.
