Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Emmanuel Oladeji Ajilore of Easton who passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on August 5, 1935 in Ilesha, Nigeria, Emmanuel was the cherished and only son of five children of the late Olaleye and Sola Ajilore.

Emmanuel was the loving husband of 63 years to Margaret Oluwaremilekun (Anibaba) Ajilore of Easton and a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.


A God fearing man of immense knowledge, excellence and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his family. Emmanuel lived an accomplished and fulfilled life. His enthusiasm for knowledge propelled him to pursue different profession in engineering after years of working in the banking industry - UBA bank, Nigeria. Emmanuel studied in Chicago, Illinois and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Upon his return to Nigeria, Emmanuel started his own construction company - Emolad Construction. As a chief engineer, he supervised and helped built some major structural projects in different parts of Nigeria for the Nigerian government before he retired. He was a very hard working and dedicated man who provided for his family, and put his family first. Emmanuel instilled in his children and grandchildren the values of hard work, education and the importance of family.
As a collector of architectural design books, Emmanuel also enjoyed playing soccer, telling stories, traveling, drawing, singing, dancing and also boxing.


In addition to his wife, Margaret, he is survived by his two sons, John B. Ajilore of Brockton and Yemi O. Ajilore of Brockton, his daughter, Kemi I. Alphonse and husband Rolf of Easton, a sister Ayinke Okedun of Nigeria, four grandchildren - Remi Anifowoshe and husband Israel, Luccia Ajilore, Angelique, and Isabelle Alphonse, a great grandson Jethro Anifowoshe, many nieces and nephews, and extended family members.

Emmanuel’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of his loved ones and countless people he has touched with his kindness, wisdom, knowledge and zest for life. We take solace in that he is at the bosom of the Lord. His family will deeply miss his presence and forever cherish and hold dearly his legacy and memories.

Viewing in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Thursday, March 20th at 9 am. Followed by Funeral Services at 10 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton.
