Obituary

Donald Morris Woodring of Franklin died at 89 years old on February 13 at Massachusetts General Hospital after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Anne Marie (Weissinger) Woodring for 67 years.

Born on August 28, 1935 in Ashland, PA., to the late Donald and Iris (Teitsworth) Woodring, Donald grew up in Mount Carmel, PA. He lived in Franklin for the past 16 years.

A graduate of Penn State, Donald served as a special agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation for 20 years. After retiring from the FBI, he and his wife spent three years serving as missionaries in Egypt. Before moving to Franklin, he volunteered at the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary in Berks County, PA.

Donald enjoyed reading, nature, and spending time with loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Anne, and his sons, Donald and wife Laura Woodring of Medway, MA, and William and wife Paula Woodring, of Waukesha, WI, as well as his six grandchildren, Will, Brendan and Conor of Medway, and Aidan, Ciara, and Bria of Waukesha.

Services on Friday, March 7 at Noon in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin ginleyfuneralhomes.com 131 Main Street, Franklin.

Burial in Union Street Cemetery, Franklin.

Visitation from 11:00-Noon on Friday, March 7 in the funeral home.
