Obituary

The family of Michael Heinrich Buczynski is deeply saddened to announce his untimely passing at the age of 64 in North Attleboro, MA. Mike passed away unexpectedly, leaving a void in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mike was born on April 12, 1960, in Boston, MA. He graduated from Boston Latin and had varied work experiences beginning with Park Plaza Hotel, Boston Bedroom, and Ipak before his tenure at Amica - retiring after 30+ years. He then worked at Xaverian Brothers High School before retiring for good in 2024.

A kind and generous man, always greeting you with a warm smile and a good laugh, he touched many lives with his remarkable wit and good-hearted nature. People naturally gravitated towards his fun and friendly energy. He appreciated the simple pleasures of life, often found with a book in hand, or enjoying a quiet moment in nature, and he adored every dog he crossed paths with.

Preceding Mike in death are his beloved parents, Michael & Hildegard Buczynski, whose love and guidance helped shape the man he became; as well as his cherished dog, Fletcher, "the best dog in the world."

Mike's family was his foundation. He is survived by his dear siblings: Maria Sonderland (Bradford, VT), Tony Buczynski (Bradford, VT), Alfred Buczynski (West Roxbury, MA), Raymond & Barbara Buczynski (Roslindale, MA), Agnes Buczynski & Robert Savage (Weymouth, MA), Richard & Kendall Buczynski (Brockton, MA), his twin Hildegard "Chris" Fougere (San Rafael, CA), Rudolf Buczynski (West Roxbury, MA), and Irene & Charles Otis (Bradford, VT).

Proud and loving uncle to: Kimberly, Michael (Elise) Sonderland; Martina (John) Flanagan, Kurtis (Nicole) Buczynski, Evan (Caitlyn) Buczynski; Andrew (Heather) Savage, Katrina (Alberto) Savage-Rivera, Matthew (Haley) Savage, Elizabeth Savage; Jennifer (Nelson) Correia, Amy (James) Buczynski, Stephanie Buczynski; Dominique, Derek (Courtney) Fougere, Ian Buczynski; Julie Ann, Alisha (Lawrence), Kristina (Chad) Claflin, Michael, Richard, Amanda (Christopher), Lily, and Sophie Otis.

Blessed to be great uncle to: Lexi, Carly, Chase, John, Michael, Gunnar, Jackson, James, Raven, Max, Willow, Natalie, Vincent, Elijah, and his special birthday buddy Lucian.

Gormley Funeral Home (West Roxbury, MA) on Saturday, March 8th from 12 PM to 2 PM, followed directly by a Celebration of Life at Boston Elks Lodge #10 (West Roxbury, MA); relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
