Anthony P. Cassaro of Stoneham, passed away on Monday, February 24th. He was 83. Anthony was raised in the West End of Boston, and was the cherished son of the late Salvatore and Elizabeth (Migloire) Cassaro. Anthony had a long prosperous career with the United States Postal Service, where he established many friendships. Anthony proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Anthony had a kind disposition and a heart of gold. He loved to have fun, tell jokes and was always happy. Anthony was a die-hard Patriots and Red Sox fan and would watch as many games as he could. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Anthony was the beloved husband of Jean Keating and the late Roberta Cassaro. He was the devoted father of Lisa DiRado and her husband Nick. He was the dear brother of Joseph Cassaro and his wife Barbara, and Richard Cassaro and his wife Marie. He was the caring uncle of Sandra, Donna, Joseph, Linda and Diana.
A celebration of Anthony’s life will be held at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Saturday, March 1st. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Anthony’s family from 11 AM to 1 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
