Obituary

WORCESTER_____Juan Vazquez 69, of Worcester passed away with family at his side on Thursday February 20, 2025 in the Odd Fellows Home.

Juan is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rosalia (Negron) Vazquez, three sons, Jose Vazquez and his wife, Leslie Valentin – Vazquez, Juan Vazquez, Jr., and his partner, Shawney Fencher, Alberto Vazquez and his wife, Toni Moton, a daughter, Rosa Vazquez, nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, four brothers, Frankie Vazquez, Tony Vazquez, Felipe Vazquez and Jose Vazquez, three sisters, Carmen Vazquez, Mary Vazquez and Julie Vazquez as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Margarita Vazquez of Puerto Rico. Juan was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico, a son of the late Felix and Maria (Maldonado) Vazquez and has lived in Worcester for most of his life.

Mr. Vazquez was a Home Improvement Contractor for several years handling many different types of building and construction requests. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving as a Naval Airman. His duty assignments included Naval Air Station Norfolk, VA.

Mr. Vazquez enjoyed watching NASCAR and Golf on television. He also liked Mexican culture and music and loved spending time with family.

The funeral will be held on Thursday February 27, 2025 with a service at 11:00 A.M. in DIRSA – MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street. Burial with military honors will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. the time of the service in the funeral home.
