GILFORD ---- Janice Donahue, 88, of York Village Way, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the Laconia Rehabilitation Center – Genesis.
Janice was born on June 1, 1936, in Farmington, ME, the daughter of the late Robert Besaw and Jean (Watts) Besaw.
Janice worked as a nurse at the Lowell General Hospital. She enjoyed reading, quilting, knitting, and playing Bridge. Janice was in the quilting group at St. Andre Bessette Parish. Janice also enjoyed going out to eat at T-bones, sitting in her favorite spot at the bar. She was a member of the York Village Way Association and was involved in the gatherings for the residences who live there.
Janice is survived by her sons Tim Donahue and his wife Melanie, of Chelmsford, MA, Chris Donahue and his partner Cathy Wennerth, of Merrimack, NH, Jon Donahue and his wife Darlene, of Nashua, NH, Doug Donahue and his wife Karen, of Westford, MA; daughters Deb Newcomb and her husband Rick, of Lowell, VT, Terri Resseguie and her husband Greg, of Norwood, CO, and Sue Donahue, of Nashua, NH; brother David Rowe and his wife Kay, of Portland, ME; nineteen grandchildren, Melissa, Sanbrina, Shawnna, Stephanie, Joshua, Samantha, Scott, Sean, Adam, Chad, Caleb, Michelle, Nicole, Ryan, Shannon, Steven, Patrick, Ashley, and Colton; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 2:00 pm- 4:00pm in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 10:00am at St. Andre Bessette Parish – Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 12:00pm, in the chapel at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
