METHUEN – Otto J. Zanfagna age 86 died Monday July 24, 2006 at Caritas Holy Family Hospital.
Born and educated in Lawrence, he graduated from Lawrence High School. He attended McIntosh Business School and also Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. For more than 30 years he was the co-owner of the Playsted Pharmacy in Lawrence. He was a very active member with the Methuen Senior Center, a member of the D.A.V. the Guada Canal Group. He was an attendant of St. Lucy’s Church in Methuen.
He leaves his wife of 59 years Anna Zanfagna of Methuen.
2 daughters Jean M. Castongway of Methuen, Joyce A. Jordan of Salem, NH. Jan Ethier known as daughter # 3.
1 sister Rosalie Petralia and her husband Sam of Methuen.
1 granddaughter Sgt. Raquelle (lil chief) Castongway
2 grandsons Derek Castongway and Joshua Jordan and his wife Tabitha.
2 great-grandchildren Seth and Samantha.
Several nieces and nephews.
Otto will be sadly missed as he was loved by everyone who knew him.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 3:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00a.m. at St. Lucy’s Church in Methuen, MA. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
