Stephen J. Charlebois, Sr., age 71, of Brockton, died unexpectedly at his home on February 19, 2025. Stephen was the loving husband of the late Cheryl (Butler) Charlebois. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late George and Lorraine (Cashman) Charlebois.
Stephen was a graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School and for many years worked as a machinist for various local companies.
He was a quiet and stubborn man who enjoyed sipping on a cup of coffee and reading the daily newspaper. His greatest enjoyment in life though was the time he spent with his wife, children, grandchildren and family.
Stephen is survived by his children Stephen Charlebois, Jr. and Ashley Charlebois both of Brockton, Alicia Cummings and her husband Michael of Whitman, John Mountcastle, V and his wife Jodi of Hanson, James Mountcastle and his partner Sarah Haskell of Virginia and Jeffrey Mountcastle and his wife Amy of Brockton. He was the grandfather of Sydni, Griffin, Savanna and Jenna Mountcastle, Olivia Charlebois, Amelia Leach, Christian Bautista and Carson and Caleb Charlebois. He was the brother of Jeanne Mitchell of Stoughton, Peter Charlebois of Brockton and the late Paulette Riordan. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 4-7pm. Burial will be held at a later date in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
