Obituary

Jacquelyn M. Kimball, 87, of Hampstead, NH, passed away Friday February 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in the Colonial Poplin Nursing Home, Fremont, NH. She was born on May 5, 1937 in Exeter, NH, a daughter of the late Lee and Florence (Spaulding) Moulton. Jackie grew up in Fremont and graduated from Sanborn Seminary then met and married the love of her life, Howard L. Kimball, Jr. of Danville, NH. The couple bought their first home in Newton, NH in 1957 and began raising their family. After residing in Newton for 25 years, she moved to Hampton Beach, NH and lived there for 21 years while she and her husband also owned and maintained several rental properties. In 2003 Jackie and Howard sold their properties and began traveling extensively around the country by RV for 6 mos. out of the year. They met many people and saw every state in the country, including Alaska and Hawaii. They spent their winters in Riverview, FL and eventually they sold their RV and bought a home in Riverview and spent their summers in Derry, NH. In 2016 they made the permanent move to Riverview. After Howard passed away in 2019, Jackie remained in FL for a few more years before moving back to NH to be closer to her family. Jackie loved knitting and gardening, and was an animal lover, especially of cats. She also loved sending cards for all occasions to everyone she knew and never forgot a birthday.

She is survived by her son, Spencer Kimball and wife Pam of Newton, NH; her two daughters, Loralyn Hanson and husband Douglas of Sandown, NH, and Melinda Kimball and her partner Lisa Kolosey of Winthrop, ME; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Karen M. Allyn of Williamsburg, MA; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of nearly 62 years, Howard L. Kimball, Jr in 2019; two brothers Walter Moulton and Richard Moulton; and one sister Rae M. Brown.

Following cremation, the family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the NHSPCA, Stratham, NH.

The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry is assisting the family with arrangements.
