Robert J. Lambert, Jr., 94 of Worcester, died on Wednesday, February 19th at home. He leaves his brother in law, William Torpey of Austin, TX; several nieces and nephews including, Richard Cortesi of Worcester, Nancy Torpey, William Torpey, II, David Torpey and his wife, Peggy, and Steven Torpey and his wife, Leanne all of Texas; and several great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Constance (Kuszewski) and a sister, Janice M. Torpey.
He was born in Worcester the son of Robert J. and Teresa R. (Gilligan) Lambert. Robert was a proud Marine Corps veteran, having served his country with honor and dedication. His time in the military shaped the strength and resilience that he carried throughout his life. After his service, Robert went on to have a fulfilling career at Wyman Gordon, where he worked as a machinist and supervisor for many years. His expertise, work ethic, and leadership left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the company. Robert was also a dedicated member of Blessed Sacrament Church, where he found community and solace.
His funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
