FLANAGAN, Barbara (Foley) of Dedham, February 20, 2025. Daughter of the late John and Mary (Flaherty) Foley. Beloved wife of the late Francis X. Flanagan. Devoted mother to Maureen, Frank, and Joseph and mother-in-law to Dan, Karen, and Leontia. Cherished grandmother to Maggie and her husband Crosby, TJ, Dan and his wife Jasmine, Meg, Frank, Michael, Jack, and Martin. Sister to Mary and the late Agnes, Peggy, and her brother Jack. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was a Court Stenographer and Legal Secretary at The Industrial Accident Board,Boston, Executive Secretary at The Dedham Housing Authority, Dedham, and Headmaster's Secretary at Park School, Brookline, prior to retirement. She left her most indelible legacy on her family. Barbara was a proud Dorchester girl whose family was her top priority. She will be missed.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the nursing staff, care providers, and Salmon Hospice team at The Beaumont at Whitney Place in Natick.
A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Mary’s Church, 420 High St, Dedham on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
