WEBSTER – Norman C. Wagher, 89, died Wednesday, February 19, 2025 in Rose Monahan Hospice Home, Worcester.
He leaves his companion of 50 years, Janet (Gomes) Peckham; and several cousins.
He was born on February 22, 1935 in Webster, the only son of Walter and Sally T. (Taberski) Wagher and was a lifelong resident. He earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Andover Electronic Division, completing the 4-year program in 2 years.
Mr. Wagher owned and operated NCW Upholstery in Webster for many years, retiring about 10 years ago.
As a private pilot, he loved flying out of Woodstock Airport. He was Rudy Tomasik’s first student in the 1950’s to earn his pilot license. He was also licensed to operate television stations. He belonged to Saint Joseph Basilica.
The funeral will be held on Monday, February 24, from the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Monday morning in the funeral home.
