John William Dwyer, age 72, of Medford passed away on Tuesday, February 18th, at Winchester Hospital. Raised and educated in Somerville, he was the son of the late William L. and E. Lorraine (McKenney) Dwyer. John was the owner of a printing and mailing company, and lived in Medford for over 40 years.
John liked playing golf, and later in life enjoyed Cribbage. He loved his friends and family, and never missed one of his children’s sporting events, even coaching his son’s baseball team. Those who knew John will also remember he knew how to crack a joke.
John was the beloved husband of Colleen (O'Connor) Dwyer, and the devoted father of Stephanie Wetter and her husband Kevin, and Dave Dwyer. He was the dear brother of Steve Dwyer and his wife Doreen, and is also survived by his niece Nicole Dwyer and many more loving nieces, family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with John’s family on Sunday, February 23rd from 2 through 5 PM in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in John’s name to a charity of One's choice.
