Obituary

Morgan Lee Johnstone (Arielle Distel) of Somerville, Massachusetts, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at his home, following an extended stay in the hospital. He was 37 years old. Morgan was the son of David and DeAdria (Johnson) Harvey.

From a young age, Morgan hated being told he couldn’t do things. He worked very hard to prove everyone wrong. Despite his visual disabilities, he never accepted that anything was beyond his reach.

Morgan loved to travel; he truly was a wandering gypsy at heart. He traveled up and down the East Coast, finally finding a home in the Somerville/Boston area, where he met Doc Kinne. Somehow, Doc convinced Morgan to settle down, and together, they spent 12 happy and challenging years building a home.

In his downtime, Morgan loved watching sci-fi movies with Doc, working on the computer, and playing with their cats. He also was an avid Swiftie and spent many hours enjoying listening to Taylor Swifts musical talents.

Morgan enjoyed attending the Arlington Street Church, where he met new friends and took pleasure in hearing Doc ring the bells. He often shared stories about the beautiful architecture and history of the church, but his favorite feature was the stained-glass windows. Morgan absolutely loved the stained-glass windows.

Morgan was preceded in death by his grandparents, DeWayne and Judy Johnson, David Harvey Sr., and his partner, Rick (Doc) Kinne. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, David and DeAdria Harvey; his brother, Dustin Johnson (wife Tamara); his sisters, Tristan Freeman and Brett Jeffcoat (husband Gregg); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and two nephews.

Morgan will be missed by everyone who knew him, especially his mom.

The family has planned a memorial service for Morgan on March 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Arlington Street Church in Boston.
