Obituary

Lillian Theresa (Trefry) Hall, 97, of Franklin died peacefully, February 18 at Alliance at Maples in Wrentham. She was the wife of the late Edward K. Hall who died in 2014.

Born in Boston, August 14, 1927, the daughter of the late John and Florence (Carney) Trefry, Lillian was raised in Dorchester and had lived in Norwood for many years before moving to Franklin seven years ago.

Lillian had been a stay-at-home mother in her early years and after her children were grown, she went to work at Hebert’s Candies in Norwood where she loved taking care of all her customers. She was an avid dog lover.
She enjoyed playing bingo with her sister Etta, bus trips, shopping, going to casinos, her Corgi dogs, going to the senior center in Norwood and above all spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren at the family’s beach house in Middletown, RI.

She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Roof and her husband Ronald of North Conway, New Hampshire and Nancy O’Brien and her husband Dennis of Franklin.

She is also survived by her sisters Marietta Prosack of Sharon and Florence Clasby of Tennessee.

She was the sister of the late Evelyn, Mildred, Dorothy, John, James, William and Francis.

Lillian is survived by her grandchildren, Stephanie L. Carroll of Mansfield, Emily M. and her husband Nick Garcia-Tunon of Boston and Angela L. Roof of Boston.

She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Cameron D. Carroll, Tyler J. Carroll, Leo A. Garcia-Tunon and Evelyn B. Garcia-Tunon. Also, several special Godchildren and nieces and nephews whom she was very close to.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 24 in St. Mary’s Church, Franklin at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday ,February 24 from 9:30-10:45 a.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin ginleyfuneralhomes.com 131 Main Street, Franklin.
