John J. Zmayefski, 56, of Auburn died Thursday, February 13th at home. He leaves his father, Robert Zmayefski and his wife, Shauna of Grand Terrace, CA; a brother, Bobbie Zmayefski of Auburn; a sister, Lynn Zmayefski of Worcester; a half-sister, Jaimie Gervais of Worcester; step siblings, Nicole Barthelems of Marlboro; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, a great-nephew, and a great-niece.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Elizabeth (Niles) Gervais. John worked for Devereaux as a gas line installer for many years. John was a hardworking and generous man who always looked out for others. He was known for his strong work ethic, kindness, and his unwavering loyalty to family and friends.
John found joy in the great outdoors, spending countless hours hunting, fishing, and simply enjoying time with the boys. He valued camaraderie and was always the first to lend a helping hand to those in need. Whether through his work or in his personal life, he took care of those around him, always putting others before himself.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of generosity, hard work, and friendship will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
