Lourdes Pereira El Amine, 84, of Medway, formerly of Ribeirão Branco, Brazil passed away peacefully Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. She was the wife of the late Mohamed Baker El-Amine.
Born in Ribeirão Branco, Brazil on July 13, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Bellarmina Pereira de Lima. She had lived in Medway with family for several years.
Lourdes was an extraordinary woman with a resilient and compassionate heart. She embodied grace, kindness, and a spirit that radiated warmth to all who knew her. Her heart was boundless in its compassion, her love was selfless and genuine, and her presence made the world feel brighter. She saw beauty in everything, found joy in every moment, and she moved through life with resilience and an ever-hopeful heart. She loved her family and friends deeply. She enjoyed gardening, baking, travelling, shopping, and dining out with her family.
Lourdes will be profoundly missed by all who knew her and she will be remembered for her kindness, her witty sense of humor, her charm, and her passion for life.
She is survived by her daughter, Lamis Elamine Chebaklo and her husband Tarek Chebaklo, and her daughter Buran Elamine. She is also survived by her four stepsons, Zein El-Amine and his wife Marie Clarke, Bilal El-Amine, Rayan El-Amine and his wife Brooke Atherton, and Rami El-Amine and his wife Crystal Sylvia.
Lourdes is also survived by her grandchildren, Lea and Adam Chebaklo, Samer El-Amine, Nadeem and Hala El-Amine, and Junior and Reef El-Amine.
She is survived by her sister, Cacilda and many loving nieces and nephews in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She was the sister of the late Maria Aparecida da Costa.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service to celebrate her life with calling hours on Wednesday, February 19th from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street in Medway ginleyfuneralhomes.com followed by a service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
