It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Samantha Ruth Mello, 31, of Dartmouth, MA on February 11, 2025. She was a kind soul who was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and most importantly a devoted mother.
Samantha was an honor student, track athlete, and 2012 graduateof Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School in Fall River, MA. Later in life she was a dedicated crew member in the landscaping industry for most of her adult years. Samantha loved the beach, music, family gatherings, and baking. She loved much and was much loved. Samantha prioritized helping others, and wasn’t afraid of hard work. Being a creative person she was excellent at overcoming obstacles, and accomplishing her goals.
Samantha is survived by her two greatest loves, her daughter Aubrey and son Corbin. Samantha leaves behind her mother Paula Mello, and her brothers and sisters and in laws: Hannah Mello, Robert Mello, Joshua Mello, Rebecca Madeira (Mello), Rosanna Roberto (Mello), Allicia Mello, Maxfarland Roberto, and Cassidy Madeira. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews also mourn her loss. As Samantha was adopted into a loving family, she is also survived by her biological father Matthew Silva. Samantha will be missed by her partner Brad Kennedy as well.
Visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at the Potter Funeral Home, Westport from 9-11 AM immediately followed by an 11:00 AM service.
Interment will be private.
