Worcester: Virginia “Ginny” (Gow) Larson, 98, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her husband of 68 years, Carl P. Larson, Jr. and a son Eric C. Larson. She was predeceased by a brother Richard Gow.
Ginny was born in Worcester, daughter of the late David and Mildred (Morris) Gow. She attended North High School and graduated from Commerce High School. She also attended the former Worcester State Teachers College. She worked for many years as a banker at Peoples’ Savings Bank, where she held a tremendous reputation for her attention to detail, accuracy, and customer service. She enjoyed spending time at her vacation home at the Cape, going to the beach. shopping, and driving her convertible cars. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Irish Setter Society and enjoyed attending dog shows.
According to Ginny’s wishes, there are no services. Burial was held in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Irish Setter Society.
