KATHLEEN “KATHY” M. NOWACKI OBITUARY
Kathleen “Kathy” M. (Scanlon) Nowacki, 77, of Glen Campbell, PA , peacefully went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 while at home surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of Francis and Eleanor (Bouza) Scanlon, she was born on September 7, 1947 in Paterson, New Jersey.
Kathy was a graduate of Eastside High School in Paterson, NJ.
On August 2, 1969, she married Lawrence “Larry” J. Nowacki and they have shared over fifty-five years of marriage together.
Kathy was a member of the Church Of The Resurrection in Glen Campbell, PA.
A child polio survivor, with great resilience, grace and optimism Kathy continually defied odds throughout her life to live a full and fulfilling life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. But most of all, Kathy thoroughly loved spending time with her family, especially Sunday dinners serving spaghetti and her homemade sauce with meatballs.
Kathy loved decorating her home, cooking and spending time gardening in her special plant room.
For twenty-five years, she was employed by Doug’s Place in Arcadia, where she enjoyed seeing family and friends.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Larry; her two daughters: Noel Paulina and husband, David of Clymer, PA and Sandy Foreback and husband, John of Clymer, PA; her four grandchildren: Mitchell Foreback and wife, Samantha; Jacob Paulina, Nicholas Foreback and Hannah Paulina. Kathy was absolutely thrilled in the last year to welcome the arrival of her first great grandchild, Faye Foreback She also is survived by her brother, Michael Scanlon of New York, NY and her beloved cat, Hachi.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Kenneth Scanlon.
A memorial service for Kathy will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers and in recognition of Kathy’s great love of animals, memorial donations can be forwarded to Four Footed Friends at 220 Beck Road, Indiana, PA 15701.
