FEEDING HILLS – Zachariah Isaiah “Zack” Pittsinger, 41, of Feeding Hills and a longtime resident of Chicopee, was Called Home on Sunday, February 2, 2025. He was born in Springfield on March 10, 1983, a beloved son of the late Glenn Pittsinger, Sr. who was Called Home on January 15, 2021 and the late Brenda (Lavallee) Pittsinger Bauer who was Called Home on January 18, 2024. He was raised and educated in Chicopee and moved to Feeding Hills in 2008 where he lived the remainder of his life. He was a talented arborist throughout Western Massachusetts. He was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. Zack was a self-described “Zack-of-all-trades,” finding happiness in his several home projects and creative ventures. He was a generous soul who found great joy in assisting the needy including the elderly and disadvantaged. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and many friends. He leaves his longtime companion, Erica E. Plouffe of Feeding Hills, his two beloved sons, Xavier T. Pittsinger and Devon C. Thompson; his three dear brothers, Glenn Pittsinger, Jr. and his partner, Sambath Leang, of Indian Orchard, Matthew J. Pittsinger of New York, NY and now joins his deceased brother in heaven, Jeremiah C. “Jeremy” Pittsinger who was Called Home on March 29, 2009; his loving grandmother, Marion Jackson of Jacksonville, FL; his cherished niece, Arya Leang Pittsinger; his two cherished nephews, Elijah Leang Pittsinger and Hunter Bryant; his dear stepfather, Lawrence A. “Larry” Bauer of Chicopee; his dear godmother, Elvira Campiola of Londonderry, NH; and his many dear uncles, aunts, cousins, numerous friends, and extended family members. His Funeral will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 594 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His Burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance of the funeral home are located in the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
