Lawrence Edward Allers, Sr. 82, of Medway died February 8 at Bear Mountain at Worcester. He was the husband of Marie L. (Rosmarinofski) Allers for the past 60 years.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, July 31, 1942, the son of the late William A. and Naomi V. (Hofstetter) Allers, Mr. Allers was a long-time resident of Medway.
Following his graduation from high school , Larry enlisted in the Navy where he served from 1961-1965, attaining the rank of E-4.
After his Naval service Larry joined the Raytheon Company as a document writer from which he retired .
Larry could always be found walking his dog "Bear" around Medway.
Larry loved traveling the country with family and friends.
He loved spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Lawrence E. Allers, Jr. and his wife Teri of Franklin and Robert Allers and his wife Mellisa of Millville.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nick, Tyler, Karley, Barrett and Alisha.
Larry is also survived by his nephew Tom Gable and his wife Roberta of Maryland.
Services will be held on Thursday, February 20 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home ginleyfuneralhomes.com 3 Barber Street, Medway at 5:30 p.m.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 3:00-5:30 p.m.
