LACONIA ---- Gregory A. Bauer, 63, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 1, 2025, at his home. He was born April 21, 1961, to Myrna (Denbow) Bauer and adopted in 1971 by Charles J. Bauer.
Greg grew up in West Pawlet, VT and moved to Ballston Spa, NY in the mid-1980’s where he stayed until 2008. He then moved to Laconia, NH. Greg spent his life working in the Marina Industry, accumulating several certifications and specializations over his 40+ years. He worked in various capacities including marine technician, service manager and finally as a parts manager. Greg was known for his attention to detail and a master in his craft. A family-man at heart, Greg enjoyed bringing life back into family photos and videos. He was always making family videos to celebrate the lives of family lost too soon, celebrate anniversaries or birthdays, or just because. He loved being surrounded by family, whether for family vacations or his Christmas trips to visit his daughter and her family. His hugs were legendary. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Jennifer and son-in-law Chris, his two granddaughters Emma and Paige, his siblings, Gene, Mark, and Sharon, and his nieces and nephews, Nicole, Ian, Linwood, Erik, and Amanda. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored him dearly. He is predeceased by his wonderful parents, Myrna and Charlie Bauer.
A Celebration of Life will be held Summer 2025 in St. Albans, Maine so that he can be laid to rest surrounded by those that loved him most.
