Obituary

LACONIA ---- Patricia ‘Pat’ Beatrice Dahlbo, 74, of Laconia, NH, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

Born on March 17, 1950, in Claremont, NH, to Roland and Florence Choquette, Pat had a deep passion for helping people and creating beauty in the world around her. She attended Brown University, where she earned a certificate in culinary arts.

Pat spent much of her life supporting those in need, opening her home to individuals with disabilities and always offering a helping hand. Through 38 years of sobriety, Pat inspired those around her with her resilience. As one friend in sobriety shared, ‘She was never afraid to tell me what I needed to hear.’ A woman of many talents, Pat was a master of whatever she set her mind to. From her love of gardening, quilting and cooking, to painting a mural at The Kellerhaus, she did everything with passion. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. Her happiest moments were those shared with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who meant the world to her.

Pat is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Norman Dahlbo; her sister, Theresa Wein; her brother, Smokey Choquette, and his wife, Nola; her children, Cindy Goucher and Kim Devore, along with Kim’s husband Josh; her step-children, Terry O’Brien and Tom Dahlbo, along with his wife Flo; her six grandchildren, Matt O’Brien and his wife Renee, Mark O’Brien, Csky Silva and her husband Murillo, Kyra Goucher, Toni Goucher and Lyla Goucher; her three great-grandchildren, Julian, Wesley and Camilla; and her beloved Pomeranian, Axel. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Irene Sucharzewski and Cindy Choquette; and her brother Skip Choquette.

A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 11:00am, at Lakes Region Bible Church, 95 Zion Hill Road, Laconia, NH 03246.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Lakes Region Bible Church.

Pat’s warmth, kindness and love will be deeply missed, but the memories she created will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
