LACONIA ---- Theresa Hazel Gebhard, 95, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025, at the Laconia Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on November 11, 1929, in Meriden, Connecticut, the daughter of Arthur and Hazel (Dionne) Gebhard. The family moved to Laconia, New Hampshire when she was a child. Theresa graduated from Laconia High School in 1947 and went to work at Scott and Williams, and then Bell Telephone until her retirement.
Theresa loved gardening and hiking. She was an athlete all of her life; a roller and figure skating champion, a ski instructor at Gunstock, and she taught fitness classes at the YMCA. In her later years, she became an activist for the elderly.
Theresa leaves behind her children, Michael (Bonnie) Hickey, of Bozeman, MT, Patricia (Rich) Eilinger, of Hertford, NC, and Tina Hickey, of Belmont, NH; four grandchildren Jocelyn Hickey, Timothy Cox, and Uriah and Hayden Eilinger, and 2 great-grandchildren.
There are no calling hours.
Private interment services will be held in the summer of 2025 at St. Lambert Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
