Joyce Boisvert, a lifelong resident of Chicopee, died peacefully after a lengthy illness on Monday, February 10, 2025. Joyce was the devoted daughter of the late Napoleon and Cora Boisvert (Provost). Educated in local schools, she earned an associate’s degree from Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) and later attended Western New England University. Joyce proudly worked for several local employers, including Uniroyal, Lily Enterprises, Friendly’s corporate offices in Wilbraham, and taught computer science at STCC. She was a member of the Catholic Community at Ste. Rose de Lima in Chicopee. She is survived by her daughter, Ana and her husband, Thomas Ouellette, of Gaithersburg, MD, many nieces and nephews, and several cousins from both the Provost and Boisvert families, among them Valinda Lawrence and her husband Wilton, who welcomed and cared for Joyce in their home for nearly two years. Joyce is predeceased by her sisters, Shirley M. Picard and Lorraine B. Justice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harmony House of Western Massachusetts, 66 View St., Chicopee, MA. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St., Chicopee followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Ste. Rose de Lima Church at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Ste. Rose de Lima Cemetery.
