Patti L. Bendell (Carey) age 65, of Raynham, formerly of Brockton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Morton Hospital in Taunton. She was the wife of the late Michael D. Bendell.
Born in Hartford, CT and raised in both Chelsea and Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Marjorie (Greene) Carey.
Mrs. Bendell was a graduate of Brockton High School, Massasoit Community College, and UMASS Boston where she earned a bachelor's degree.
She worked as a registered nurse at Good Samaritan Medical Center for over twenty years, retiring in 2014.
Patti was strong, independent, determined, warm, and caring. She enjoyed van runs in her younger years, camping, reading, gardening, travelling, music, puzzles, and spending time at the tiki bar in her living community. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. Her children and grandchildren were her world, and she loved every moment spent with them.
She is survived by her two children, Keri Laporte and her husband Jeffrey of Attleboro and Eric Bendell and his wife Jennifer of Taunton; her brothers, Robert Carey and his wife Diane of Whitman, Glenn Carey and his wife Mickey of West Bridgewater, Bradley Carey and his wife Kathi of Wrentham, and Scott Carey and his wife Suzanne of Brockton; three loving grandchildren, Maximus Laporte, Myles Laporte, and Parker Bendell; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to visit Pattiās family on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. Her celebration of life will be on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 10:00 am, in the funeral home. Private interment will take place at Massachusetts National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband.
