Jacqueline Bernadin, age 90, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Born and raised in Cap-Haitien, Haiti, she was a daughter of the late Auguste Bernadin and Anna-Louise Narcisse.
Jacqueline was educated in Haiti and became a very proficient seamstress. She worked in the clothing industry with her family where she exhibited her skillful talent for over 30 years. Her work was so admired, she always had many requests from family and friends.
Jacqueline enjoyed spending time with her family, watching television, listening to Kompa, and was a marvelous cook. Cooking for her loved ones brought her much enjoyment and she was a fan of her delicious meals herself. Her culinary talents allowed her to share her home cooked meals with her community, which were very popular. She was a hard worker all her life and very respectful to everyone she met. A gentle, generous soul, Jacqueline was a sharing person and would do anything for her family.
Jacqueline was the mother of Doutonne Cenatus-Previlon and son-in-law Guy Previlon, Luna Jules and son-in-law Smith Jules, Florenne Julmice, and the late Jean Claude Bernadin and Huguette Julmice. She was the grandmother of 10 grandchildren and had 10 great grandchildren. Jacqueline leaves behind 2 nephews and 2 cousins. She was the great aunt of 12 great nieces and nephews. Sister of the late Mercie Blaise.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 8:30 to 9:30 am, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. A funeral mass will be held at Christ the King Church, 54 Lyman Street, Brockton, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery
