Born in Boston, Lorraine lived a life full of love and of deep devotion to her family and to her Catholic faith. She met the love of her life, George, at Moseley’s Ballroom at Thanksgiving time 1954 and they were married by the first week of February 1955. Settling in West Roxbury, they had their first four children within four years; "four babies under four" she always loved to say. These four were followed by two more within the same decade. Within a few years however Lorraine would suffer the sudden loss of her oldest child Mary at the age of ten. Shortly after her 37th wedding anniversary she would lose her husband George. With her faith being the foundation of her life, she found strength, comfort, and purpose in the hardest of times.

Lorraine adored and nurtured her family. As the family's hub of current events, she followed the lives of her children and grandchildren with deep love and pride, always remembering the small details, celebrating every milestone, and somehow always finding ways to give very thoughtful and personal gifts. Her family was her greatest joy, and she made sure they all knew just how much they were loved. Her personalized attention to each one of them was enough to make them all in some way feel they were each her "favorite."

Summers on Cape Cod were among her happiest times. Her cottage near Old Silver Beach was her sanctuary, where she found peace in the ocean air. She cherished the gatherings there with family and was always so overjoyed upon the arrival of each one. Her generosity was abundant towards everyone, often surrendering her own time there to allow family, extended family, and friends to enjoy long summer days over extended stays at her cottage. She found comfort living next door to her beloved sister Margie during her precious months there each year.

Lorraine was a Cooperator for the Daughters of St. Paul. She was also an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary and member of the Massachusetts Citizens for Life.
