Martha M. Bonsignore (Lagrassa). Beloved mother and wife, passed away peacefully at her home in Woburn, on February 8th, surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness. She was 83 years old.
Born in Malden, MA on January 8, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Edith (Gravallese) Lagrassa. Martha graduated from Arlington High School in 1959 and married her husband Gaetano Bonsignore in 1964. They remained in Arlington where they raised their family and resided for over 50 years.
In addition to her husband Gaetano, Martha is survived by her 3 children: Carla Bonsignore of Woburn, Frank Bonsignore and his wife Lori of Andover and Dina Chalmers and her husband Derek of Methuen. Martha is also survived by her 4 grandchildren: Frankie, Nathan, Caitlyn and Justin. Martha has one brother James and his wife Pam who reside in Florida. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Angelo Bonsignore and his wife Bella, and her sister-in-law, Mary Cavallaro and her husband Cavy as well as several nieces and nephews. Martha is further survived by her two dear friends, Barbara Sarno and Ann Kaminski whom she shared over 60 years of friendship.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visit hours with the family at the McLaughlin -Dello Russo Family Funeral home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Thursday, February 13th, from 4 to 7p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agnes Church, 32 Medford St., Arlington, Friday, February 14th, at 11:30 a.m. (Please meet directly at the church). Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
