FRANKLIN --- Merle Shaw Jr., 71, of Franklin Street, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, with the love of his life by his side.
Merle was born on December 18, 1953, in Hartford, CT, the son of the late Merle Shaw Sr., and Charlene Shaw.
Merle had his own business in construction. He was an avid fisherman. Merle enjoyed going to baseball games with his son and talking about football with his daughter.
Merle is survived by his wife of 44 years, Leeann Clancy, of Franklin, NH; son Michael Clancy, of Tilton, NH; daughter Catrina Bachler and her husband William; five grandchildren, Draven, Patrick, Mars, Nicolas and Cameron; brother Carl Shaw, of Laconia, NH; sister Diane Gildden and her husband Boyden, of Statesville, NC. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins, whom he loved. In addition to his parents, Merle is predeceased by his brothers Mark Shaw and John Smith.
Calling Hours will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
