TAGLIAMONTE, Paul Anthony (professionally known as Paul Monte). Retired owner of Paul Monte Music Studio and longtime resident of Wellesley, passed away on February 9, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. An incredible husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, and teacher, Paul enriched many lives and the community with his passion for music and dedication to family.
For over six decades, he and his staff taught thousands of students—from beginners to advanced musicians—the accordion, piano, guitar, and drums, inspiring a love for music from 1950 until 2017. As a founding member of the Accordion Teachers Association of Massachusetts, Paul’s influence reached far beyond the studio. He performed professionally with big bands and as a solo artist, including a memorable performance with Melissa Manchester and the Boston Pops. Yet, most of all, he adored his wife of 67 years, Lillian, with whom he shared every spare moment.
Paul was a proud father and father-in-law to Charlene and her husband Robert Guigli, and Paul and his wife Jill Tagliamonte. He was grandfather to Matthew Guigli and his wife Caitlin, Michael Guigli and his husband Dr. William Devan, Danielle Feroli and her husband Greg, and Marina Guigli, Paul R Tagliamonte and his wife Becca James, Jacqueline Riordan and her husband Sean, and ten great-grandchildren. Paul passed his musical talent, humor, and warm spirit to his family.
